Make It Stop

My mother called me this morning at 7:20am to tell me that we don't need to do the whole 'Thanksgiving thing' if it's going to be 'too hard' for me. All because I made a joke last night about us needing to buy alot of wine for Turkey Day. **

In the next breath she asked if my husband will make coffee after Thanksgiving dinner because (ha! ha! ha!) she doesn't know how to use her coffee maker.

Last week she hung up on me three separate times, yelling at me so loudly I couldn't understand her.

Maybe I wasn't kidding - I'm gonna need alot of damn wine.


**Of course there are 17 people invited to have Thanksgiving at her house and only my brother and one other couple actually lives in the same city as she does, so everyone else is traveling there. In LESS than 3 weeks.
